How on earth do you afford to rent?
I live in Australia, and there is no way at being able to afford to rent on your own with a retail, hospitality or similar wage the only way is to find the cheapest place ever with a few rooms or more and share....and it seems almost every person you get in try to rip you off and complain abt eexpense...and you end up paying for most of the rent and bills. I absolutely hate living with other people but it has to be done. I will be undertaking a baker apprenticeship soon so im going have to deal with it but after that i will only be earning around $500 and the cheapest place to rent would be $250 to live alone and then with all the other expenses it just seems impossible to be able to live with that amount... I shouldnt be complaining when there are people worse off....but i just dont understand how people can afford to buy cars, furniture and go on holidays.... and why does rent have to be so much?
You can find much cheaper accommodation if you are prepared to TRAVEL - too many people are only prepared to live within 20-30 minutes of their job. I live 2 hours away - yes its a pain to do all that travel but I can afford to live alone with no worries. Its about choices. You decide what is important - and then live with the consequences.
