the Hotel doesn't have the obligation to refund you . But I would call the hotel and explain the situation. Usually Hotel managers have a great flexibility to make this kind of decisions. Worst case scenario, you you probably get a voucher to re book some other day.
If you booked through an agent or .com like priceline or travelocity for example. I heard that they are refunding most travelers.
