good website to go about planning and pricing a surprise holiday for my parents to Canada in 2 years time?
its my dads 60th in 2 years and its always been a dream of his to go to Canada, he has a cousin living over there and id love to organise a surprise holiday for him and my mam. gotta start saving now though along with my sister. i dont know as of yet exactly where his cousin lives over there, but do u know any good websites that i can price flights hotels etc and get an idea of how much it would cost? flying from ireland, so euro costs preferably. i cant find them anywhere. also do u think there be a dramatic change n cost over 2 years? im a broke student with no job but over 2 years i be able to save up quite a bit. advice please. oh yeah and what side of the road do they drive on over there? if i wer to organise a hire car. ok thank u
In Canada they drive on the side of the road that Americans drive on (the driver's seat is on the left side of the car, so not the same side as in the UK). Also, as far as I know, the sides of the road cars drive on are the opposite as well.
As far as I know, you can still drive here even though you drive on the opposite side of the road in your home country. You could definitely rent a car.
Also, I think I'd wait a bit to book a flight - I know of several sites that offer flights from and to Canada - but it is in Canadian and American dollars.
You can use a currency conversion website to show you what it would be in Euros.
The only reason there'd be a dramatic cost is if the price of oil goes up - last summer it was at it's highest ever and at the moment it's half that price. When the price of oil rises to a certain point in North America the airlines start doing a fuel surcharge - it sucks.
I would try priceline.com, expedia.com and try http://www.cheapflights.co.uk for prices in GBP.

Can i buy a Sat-Nav in the UK and use it in Spain? Will it have complete maps of all of Spain?
I'm travelling to Spain and will need to drive approx. 1.5 hours to my hotel im planning on hiring a car but its 50 euros for sat nav rental for 3 days. I'm wondering if i can buy a sat nav here in the UK and use it on this holiday? Please Help!
You should be able to use it anywhere in Europe as long as you install the map of your destined country onto it (Spain in this case).
Many Sat-Navs would offer map downloads from their website of the country you're going to. Sometimes places like Dixons or Currys can sell it to you over the counter.
Whichever Sat-Nav you decide to buy, make sure that you can install the map of the spanish city you're going to before you buy it.
